- According to the 12th section of the Korean Academy of Fundamentals of Nursing and to the 4th clause under the 4th section of the review board member regulation guideline, the present guidelines are provided for the review of manuscripts submitted to the Journal of the Fundamentals of Nursing.
- Manuscript review and selection are made by following the present guidelines.
- Manuscript review is limited to original articles of research reports on Nursing, Master's degree thesis, and Ph.D degree thesis, and should follow the same procedures as the manuscript review. When the submitted article is defined as a degree article, the article should be published under the single name of the corresponding degree holder.
- Manuscripts that do not meet the manuscript qualification and submission guidelines are rejected.
- Three review members are assigned for each submitted manuscript, and the review members are appointed by the manuscript compilation committee.
- Review board member names for each manuscript are disclosed (Reviewers are assigned to avoid conflicts of interest with the authors).
- Manuscript reviews are performed based on the manuscript review evaluation form that follows the quantitative study, qualitative study, general remarks, conceptual analysis and Q-methodology
- Review results are marked on a manuscript review evaluation form and detailed contents of the review evaluations are separately prepared, and judged as publication accepted (No correction necessary) or : publication accepted after correction but the manuscript should be reviewed again after correction.
1) Manuscript that are judged as 'Publication accepted' can be published without corrections.
2) Authors of manuscript that are judged as 'Publication accepted after correction' should make corrections in contents that were criticized by the review board members, and the manuscript will be accepted for publication after the review member confirms the correction of the criticized contents.
3) Authors of manuscript that are judged as 'Review after correction' should have corrections made and a manuscript review should be done by the review board member who made the judgement on determining acceptability of the manuscript for publication
4) A decision on the manuscript as 'No publication' is made when the manuscript is considered to be included one of the following categories.
(1) When the study title is lacking significance for nursing
(2) When the manuscript was prepared by copying a certain contents of already published material or the contents of other people's studies.
(3) When the reliability and appropriateness of study results are lacking.
(4) When the manuscript review results were that more than 30% of contents were 'very poor'
(5) When any corrections could not be made.
- Contents of review should not be available to people other than the authors.
- Regardless of manuscript review results, if manuscript compilation committee acknowledges that the manuscript does not fit the publication guidelines of the Journal of Korean Academy of Fundamentals of Nursing, the publication of the manuscript should be rejected.
- Manuscript review members should complete the review of the requested paper within 14 days of receiving the manuscript, and should send the review results to the manuscript compilation committee.
- If the manuscript correction is not submitted within the defined time, the publication of the manuscript can be postponed to the next term or the authors can consider giving up on publication of the manuscript.
- 기본간호학회 회칙 제12조 및 본회 편집위원회 규정 제4조 4항에 따라 기본간호학회지에 투고된 논문의 심사를 위하여 본 규정을 둔다.
- 논문의 심사 및 채택은 본 규정에 따른다.
- 논문은 간호학 연구 보고서를 원저에 한하여 심사하며, 간호학 석사 및 박사 학위논문 역시 동일한 심사과정을 거치고, 학위논문임을 명시할 경우 학위자가 제1저자, 지도교수는 교신저자 또는 공동저자로만 게재할 수 있다.
- 투고자격과 투고규정에 부합하지 않는 원고는 접수하지 않는다.
- 논문 1편당 심사위원은 3인(영문교정위원 별도)으로 하며 심사위원은 편집위원장이 위촉한다.
- 각 논문의 심사위원명은 공개하지 아니한다. 심사위원은 저자와의 이해상충을 피하여 배정한다.
- 논문은 양적연구, 질적연구, 종설, 개념분석 및 Q-methodology에 따른 논문심사평가지 양식에 의거하여 심사한다.
- 심사결과는 논문심사평가지 표기 및 심사평가 세부내용으로 작성하고 게재가능(무수정 게재), 수정 후 게재, 수정 후 재심 및 불가능(게재불가)으로 판정한다.
1) ‘게재가능’으로 판정된 논문은 교정없이 채택한다.
2) ‘수정 후 게재’로 판정된 논문은 심사위원이 지적한 사항을 저자가 수정한 후 심사위원이나 혹은 편집위원이 이를 확인하고 채택한다.
3) ‘수정 후 재심’으로 판정된 논문은 심사위원이 지적한 사항을 저자가 수정한 후 ‘수정 후 재심’으로 판정한 심사위원 으로부터 재심사를 받은 후 채택여부를 결정한다.
4) ‘불가능(게재불가)’의 판정기준은 논문의 내용이 다음 중 어느 한 항에 해당되는 것으로 인정될 경우에 한한다.
(1) 연구주제의 간호학적 유의성이 결여된 경우
(2) 기 발표된 타인의 연구의 일부 내용을 표절한 경우
(3) 연구결과의 신뢰성이나 타당성이 결여된 경우
(4) 심사 결과에서 ‘매우 부족하다’로 평가된 항목이 30%이상인 경우
(5) 수정이 불가능하다고 판단되는 경우
- 심사내용은 저자 이외의 사람에게는 공표하지 아니한다.
- 심사결과와 관계없이 논문이 학회지 투고규정에 맞지 아니하다고 편집위원회가 인정할 경우에는 이를 채택하지 않는다.
- 심사위원은 심사위촉 후 14일 이내에 위촉받은 원고를 심사하고, 심사결과를 편집위원회에 송부하여야 한다.
- 투고자가 수정된 원고를 지시된 날짜까지 제출하지 못하는 경우에는 게재를 다음 호로 연기하거나 포기하는 것으로 간주한다.
